The Story of Your voice teacher

Studying voice, ever since I was in 6th grade, I have been able to establish skills to make me who I am today. I have done many musicals such as Beauty and the Beast, Oklahoma, and King and I. In High School, I was also able to participate in Varsity Choir and Show Choir. In college I participated in a non-audition Women's Chorus Choir, an auditioned Concert Choir and the top of my school, Collegiate Singer. All these choirs allowed for me to learn different voices and how to train them effectively.

I have worked with students as young as 6 all the way up to 45, helping them to understand their voice and how to use it appropriately. From boys who crack because they are going through their adolescent years, preparing high schoolers for musicals, helping adults to not put strain on their voice, and so much more, I train students to have fun, while growing their love for music.

In 2021, I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Music Education and went on to teach an entire K-12 Elementary, Choir and Band Program. In 2022, my husband received a job offer in Colorado Springs, CO and we are super excited for new opportunities to come. Currently, I am seeking students to teach Voice, piano or Ukulele lessons.

I have come to find confidence in my teaching skills as I have been able to teach 100s of students, helping them to discover new things about their voices. I hope to help you on your Journey of helping you find your voice!

what am i trying to accomplish?

Being a Music Educator, I work diligently to make sure that my students are having fun, while learning, and that my students know that they have a teacher that they can rely on. Learning proper vocal techniques including correct posture, breathing, diction, tongue position, placement of sound, and much more, is a crucial part of my curriculum. I strive to create an environment of love and respect, where my students can have fun and learn. Each student has something unique to offer and I hope to seek out their individual talents, helping them to accomplish their individual goals.

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything.”
